How do I view items online?

Rosetta Papers has developed a step-by-step, easy to use process that provides access to thousands of invitations and helps narrow your options by specific criteria, including brand, occasion, price, and many others.

Shopping by brand or occasion are the two simplest ways to find the right item for you, as these can be found directly from the home page.  A drop down box on the left side of the home page allows you to search by brand.  Also on the home page are links to the five major occasions (wedding, baby, corporate, holiday, stationery).   If you have a more specific occasion in mind, a second drop down box on the left side of the home page allows you to search by occasion as well.  To complete a more detailed search, the home page includes a link to the “Advanced Search” option.  Search items included on this page include brand, occasion, price, style, printing time, paper-weight, and/or item number.

Once you have completed your search and selected an item that fits your needs, RosettaPapers.com interactive web design allows you to view your selections and personalize text, typestyle, and color, thereby creating a real-time interactive preview before making your purchase.  To create an “Interactive Preview”, simply click on an item you would like to view.  Our “Interactive Preview” function will walk you through an easy step-by-step process giving you snapshot of what your order may look like.  Whether you are ordering wedding invitations, baby announcements, holiday cards or personalized stationery, Rosetta Papers will make certain you are comfortable and confident in placing your order.

The text entered into the “Interactive Preview” will be used for printing the final order, so please proofread and confirm the accuracy of your text’s content, spelling, and grammar.  The proofing function is intended to provide you a mock-up of your final order, but minor variations such as placement, spacing, size, and color may occur.

Actual proofs from the printers may be obtained prior to final printing of your order with a minimal additional fee of $15 per proof.  This can be requested during the “Interactive Preview” process.

How do I place an order?

Once you are comfortable with your item selection, layout, and wording, the last step in the “Interactive Preview” will allow you to select your quantity and add your item to your shopping cart.  You will be able to edit your order at any point until your actual purchase.

The next step in the order process is shopping cart checkout. At this point (after you have completed shopping), if you already have a customer account with RosettaPapers.com, you will be asked to log in.  After successful login, we will have your billing and shipping addresses, and only ask that you re-enter credit card information during checkout for your security and privacy to complete the order.   If you are a first time RosettaPapers.com customer, we ask that you create a new customer account at the time of purchase.  Special discount codes can be entered during the checkout stage.

RosettaPapers.com accepts only three types of credit cards as a form of payment - Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Sales tax on orders shipped outside of Texas will not be charged. For orders shipped inside of Texas, sales tax of 8.25% will be charged.

Once you place an order at RosettaPapers.com, you will receive a confirmation email that will include your order number in addition to the specifics of your order.

If my order includes a personal photo or artwork, is there an
extra fee?

Please email us for specific pricing and limitations. Some basic procedures are as follows:

Add approximately $35 per scan for scan-ready artwork. The price most likely includes one proof for your approval. “Scan ready” means clear, clean, black and white line art with no shades of gray. Please be aware that as artwork is reproduced, a certain amount of detail may be lost. Because we assume no responsibility for original artwork, we recommend that you send us a copy of the original that is of reproduction quality.

Add approximately $45 for the service of scanning your photograph as a halftone. This price most likely includes one proof for your approval. Please send us a high-quality black and white photo for the best reproduction. Flat printing provides the highest quality photo reproduction, so unless you specify otherwise, photos and any text on the same side of the card will be flat printed.

If my order requires special or complex typesetting, is there an extra fee?

If your text is particularly complex, please fax it to us for a formal quote. If we notice an unusual degree of complexity in text or layout, we will call you with the additional charges before processing your order. For typesetting service in a foreign language using the English alphabet and associated accents or Hebrew, add approximately $25 per order. This price most likely includes one proof for your approval. Please email us for specific pricing and limitations.

Is it possible to add a second color of ink or print on the back of my invitation?

A second color of ink or second side printing can be accommodated on most items. There is a typically a set-up charge plus item charge for such requests. Please email us for specific pricing and limitations.

I have a special color ink I would like to use in my invitation. Can you accommodate this?

If you want a special color ink, it can be accommodated on most items as long as you supply us with the Pantone Matching System (PMS) number. If you supply us with a printed sample of the color that you would like matched as closely as possible, we will come very close, but cannot guarantee a perfect match. Please email us for specific pricing and limitations.

What type of printing is used?

Five types of printing are available at Rosetta Papers. Make sure to review which method is available for your item on the product description.

Engraving

is the most formal of printing methods, through which the letters appear slightly raised. An indention typically forms on the back of the paper from the pressure. An engraving plate (an etched steel die) used to create engraved type or images.

Letterpress

is a beautiful, but more expensive printing alternative to engraving. The labor-intensive method dates back to the fifteenth century and involves inking an image to produce an impression – the impression is transferred by placing paper against the image and manually applying pressure. The images and typeface appear precise—individually “stamped into” the paper—and very rich in color. Letterpress is great if you’re using unusual paper, motifs, typeface, or want to play around with pigments. Comparatively, engraving and thermography restrict the possibilities.

Thermography

is probably the most popular print method (it’s less expensive than engraving.) A heat-based process fuses ink and resinous powder to create raised lettering. It’s virtually indistinguishable from engraving work. The subtle differences: thermographed text is slightly shiny and the back of the invitation remains smooth (no impression).

Flat printing

is generally computer generated and the least formal option.

Blind-embossing

is an inkless raised-impression style created from a die and adds a beautiful accent to an invitation. It is appropriate for monogramming and return addresses on envelopes.

How do I check the status of my order?

Upon placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation and order number via e-mail. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation when your order ships. You may log in to your personal customer account at any point to check the status of your order.

Should I order a proof for my order?

RosettaPapers.com has an interactive web design that allows you to view your product selections and personalize text, typestyle, and color, thereby creating a real-time preview prior to order placement. The text entered into this “Interactive Preview” will be used for printing the final order, so please proofread and confirm the accuracy of your text’s content, spelling, and grammar, and double check all the important event details!  The “Interactive Preview” is intended to provide you a mock-up of your final order, but a professional typesetter from the stationery manufacturer will do the final and exact layout of your order, so minor variations such as placement, spacing, size, and color may occur.

If you would like a professionally typeset proof from the printer, one can be requested during the “Interactive Preview” procedure. As soon as the proof is available, the black and white image will be e-mailed or faxed to you.

How much does a proof cost?

For an e-mailed or faxed proof of your order from the printer add $15 per proof.

When is it mandatory to order a proof?

RosettaPapers.com requires all orders of a quantity of greater than 200 items or orders that include a foreign language to order a proof.

Can I see a sample of the stationery prior to ordering?

Yes, for a small fee. Please contact RosettaPapers.com by email during regular business hours to request a sample. It will be helpful to have the product number and vendor name available when requesting your samples.

What forms of payment do you accept?

RosettaPapers.com accepts only three types of credit cards as a form of payment – Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Sales tax on orders shipped outside of Texas will not be charged. For orders shipped inside of Texas, sales tax of 8.25% will be charged.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

We use sophisticated encryption technology whenever receiving your personal information on RosettaPapers.com, and will take all reasonable measures to prevent the loss, misrepresentation, or alteration of this information. For security purposes, your credit card information will not be saved on our server, and we ask that you re-enter your credit card information each time you submit a new order.
